Shifting Perspectives: A Message from Chairman Sudarshan Bajagain

“True education is teaching one to think intensively and critically—to combine intelligence with character.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Members of the Community,

Four years ago, Gokarneshwor World School, Jorpati was born out of a clear, purposeful vision. My career has been deeply rooted right here in Nepal, working within some of the nation’s most renowned and prestigious educational institutions. Throughout those years of service, I closely observed what makes a school truly exceptional: the ability to teach, empower, and uplift the young lives entrusted to our care. Having seen how premier schools shape visionary leaders and innovators within our own country, I felt a strong calling to bring that exact caliber of high-quality, progressive early-childhood education to the families of Jorpati.

From the day we laid our foundation, our priority has been to balance academic excellence with an uncompromising commitment to student safety. Knowing that our country rests on an active seismic belt, we have put strict disaster preparedness and security measures in place to give parents absolute peace of mind. Our campus infrastructure is designed with safe, sturdy structural planning, clear evacuation routes, and secure stairways built for young children. Our classrooms transition smoothly out to our open concrete courts and a small, cozy green play area—providing a safe, monitored, and intimate outdoor space where our little ones can enjoy fresh air and play together.

Even as a young institution navigating modern challenges and health uncertainties, our spirit remains unyielding. We move forward inspired by Nelson Mandela’s words: “Do not judge me by my success, but judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” This resilience ensures that our pre-school remains a joyful, healthy, and highly secure environment where children thrive daily.

At Gokarneshwor World School, we believe that textbook learning is only one part of growth. Our deeper mission is to raise empathetic, honest, and hardworking individuals. While academic progress is a non-negotiable priority across our early years tiers—Playgroup, Nursery, LKG, and UKG—we enrich our daily play-centric routines with the core values of UNESCO’s Global Citizenship Education.

We purposefully adapt these meaningful social pillars into simple, age-appropriate milestones:

  • Playgroup (PG): Gently eases the transition from home to school through sensory play, motor skill development, and social bonding.
  • Nursery: Builds confidence, emotional independence, early language, and basic number concepts through structured activities.
  • Lower Kindergarten (LKG): Strengthens early literacy, phonetic awareness, and logical thinking patterns.
  • Upper Kindergarten (UKG): Refines advanced reading, foundational mathematics, and critical social skills to ensure a seamless transition into primary school.

I warmly welcome you to visit our Jorpati campus and partner with us. Together, let us guide our children to step forward with a solid foundation from the present and a bright, confident hope for tomorrow.

In partnership for your child’s future,

Sudarshan Bajagain
